The Terraces

The Terraces are also typical in this area. This area is abrupt and uneven. So, this construction appears to make the best use of the land for cultivation.

It consists of placing some consecutive stony walls giving up a piece of land to grow some agricultural products. So, they can obtain great pieces of land for agriculture in the middle of mountains and hills.

These terraces began to be built in ancient times, when the plain pieces of land began to be scarce and owned to the landlords.

Nowadays, the terraces are also built. However, they are not made by hand and stone by stone, but with the help of good machinery and with the possibility of not using stone.
